THINK
Discuss the main objectives of Physical education Curriculum
Movement, motor, and activity-specific skills comprise physical literacy. The 'what,'
'why,' and 'how' of the movement are taught in the early grades. This progresses to an
understanding of the 'why' of the movement, which is attained by developing more mature
movement patterns and motor skills in a wide range of exercise, sports, and dance activities to
specifically enhance fitness parameters. This entails providing ongoing and developmentally
appropriate activities for learners to practice, create, apply, and evaluate the knowledge,
understanding, and skills required to maintain and improve their own fitness and health, as well
as the fitness and health of others, through participation in physical activities. This also allows
for an inclusive approach that understands and respects the diverse range of learners; thus, the
program takes into account their needs, strengths and abilities. This is to ensure that all learners
have equivalent opportunities and choices in Physical Education. The program learning strands
of body management, movement skills, games and sports, rhythms and dances and physical
fitness.
EXPERIENCE
Enumerate the policies and guidelines of the Physical Education course
These policies cover everything from student attendance to student discipline,
emergency procedures, and curriculum. A well-defined set of policies and procedures aids in
demonstrating compliance with corporate governance, teaching standards, student welfare, and
educational programs.
ASSESS
Explain the Article 14 of the 1987 Philippine Constitution
As expressed in Article 14 Section 1 of the Philippine Constitution: “The State shall
protect and promote the right of all citizens to quality education at all levels and shall take
appropriate steps to make such education accessible at all. ” Children and youth with special
needs include those who are gifted with advance knowledge and skills on one hand, and the
physically and mentally impaired and handicapped persons on the other. They need education
and training different from those given to ordinary children. They need special programs that
would further enhance their unusual mental and physical capacities to make these beneficial to
them and to their family and community. Introduce by Jinggoy Estrada.
CHALLENGE
Write a short essay about the importance of Physical education in tertiary level.
Physical education explicitly teaches the necessary knowledge and skills for working
with and relating to others, as well as providing opportunities for these skills to be developed.
It promotes the development of leadership and teamwork skills, as well as the transfer of
knowledge to other areas of study. This is one of the subjects offered from elementary to
tertiary level that commits to the learner's holistic development. Developing positive attitudes
toward learning is a universal goal of instruction, and it certainly has a place in the goals of
most subject areas.
