Daily timing Updates on Brahma Muhurta
Let us now understand the time updates of Brahma Muhurta in detail.
Ancient Indians measured time using different calculations. They called the smallest time unit ‘Nimesha,’ which is the smallest time
frame conceivable by humans. Ancient Indians defined Nimesha as the ‘wink of an eye. So one Nimesha is the time taken by a person
to blink their eyes.
Further, the Ancient Indians classified the time as follows
15 Nimesha = one Kashta
15 Kashta = one Laghu
15 Laghu = one Ghatika
2 Ghatika (30 Laghu) = One muhurta
30 Muhurta = One day (of 24 hours)
One Muhurtha equals 48 minutes approximately.
Brahma muhurta is the second-last muhurta before Sunrise. While some believe it starts at 3:30 AM and ends at 5:30 AM, it is not true.
Brahma muhurta begins 1 hour 36 minutes before the Sunrise and ends 48 minutes before Sunrise, lasting for 48 minutes. The time of
Sunrise will not be the same each day, and it varies every day based on the time of the year and geographical location. As a result, the
exact time of Brahma muhurta also will differ.
Calculating the Brahma Muhurta
You can easily calculate the Brahma Muhurta with the help of the Sunrise and sunset calculator. Use the calculator to derive the exact
time of Sunrise in your city and then subtract 1 hour 36 minutes from it. Kindly remember that the time of Sunrise will change every
day.
