Course Introduction and Objectives
Introduction to human resource management (HRM) will help in understanding the basic HRM functions.
The course emphasizes on the importance of HRM function in the achievement of organizational
objectives and its vision at large. It captures entire functions related to human resources ranging from
human resource planning to exit of the employee from the organization. Thus, this course emphasizes on
how functions such as human resource planning, recruitment and selection, training of employees,
measuring performance of employee, career planning and others can be utilized for developing a
sustainable workforce and ultimately contributing to the business objectives of the organization. A
segment of this course also covers legal and industrial relations aspects in managing human resources in
an organization. Hence, this course will help you in making more informed decision related to human
resource functions while complying with the law of the land.
