CONTROLS
Inspection to be done inside the boiler to identify
the temprature, oxgen level and safe working
condition.
Proper PPE to be worn at all time.
Proper inspection of all cleaning tools to be done

by the supervisor.
Proper air ventilation to be provided inside the
boiler to avoid suffocation.
Houskeeping to be done regularly to avoid human
contact with the boiler ash waste.
Proper PPE must be worn all time.
Ensure proper Ventillation and oxgen availibilty at
the area of job.
All the cables and sockets should be checked for
any damage by a competent person and replaced
5 M if found damaged.
Cables should not be left lying around on the
ground but managed on such a way so as to avoid
trips, falls and entanglement.
All shifting and work to be done with proper
inspection.

CONTROLS
Proper PPE to be worn at all time. For example a
welder must wear safety apron, safety goggles,
face shield, gas mask, welding gloves, welding
sleeves apart from wearing safety helmet and
safety boot.
The area should be checked for any combustible
material before starting hot work. Fire
extinguisher must present around the work area
along with fire blankets, sand buckets, and water
buckets.
Proper TBT to all personalls involved.
Adequate supervision.
Proper barricading and sinages must be provided.
Fire watch also be provide. The area should be

continously checked for every hour and
monitored for 3 hours after completion of hot
work.
All the powered hand tools such as grinder should
be without any damage and provided with
monthly colour code.
Proper Hot Work Permit and PTW are obtained
and displayed at the work area.
Visual checks must be completed by operatives
on tools prior to their use.Ensule work area is
clear of any material which can cause trips or
snagging/ damage to equipment.
Suitable signages in place " HOT WORK UNDER
PROGRESS" must be posted on work place.

CONTROLS

Ensure gaurds are correctly fitted and fully

Supervisor must continously monitor their areas
for compliance by all teams.

CONTROLS
Use quality tools in accordance with the type of
work to be carried.
Proper instruction must be given to the personnal
about the usage of tool.
Use tools with an insulating cover during working
in vicinity of live parts.
Use protective googles in all cases and above all
6 M when there is a risk of projected particles.
Use gloves to handle sharp tools.
Periodically check tools ( repair, sharpening,
cleaning,e.t.c)
Periodically check the state of handles, insulating
coverings, e.t.c. Store and/or transport tools in
boxes, tool bags or on suitable panels, where
each tool has its place
Wear full body harness at 2.5 meters hieght.
User to ensure acess equipment is of adequate
height and suitable for job.

CONTROLS
Protocols should be followed according to MOPH
and Who guidlines.
The awareness consist of MOPH and WHO
guidelines informative material must be
circulated to the workers.
Display information posters in all areas.
