We all have been affected by the current COVID-19 pandemic.
The impact of this pandemic and its consequences are felt
differently depending on our status as individuals and as members
of the society. The pandemic has become a life changer and the
world is not the same after it.
It’s killing people on a larger scale. The outbreak was first time
experienced in Wuhan, China at the end of December 2019. The
virus then rabidly took the whole world in its fold. Different
initials have been taken to overcome the deadly disease like
wearing masks, keeping social distancing and proper sanitization.
In Pakistan, particularly the first two waves have been ended but
now we’re facing the third wave of COVID-19.
The third wave turned out to be more dangerous and catastrophic
than the ones before. Because of the third wave, everyone is
locked in homes and is supposed to work from home; online. The
online system of education, in particular, doesn’t turn out to be in
the best interest of the students.
It’s not a piece of cake to study online. Students face a bunch of
problems like internet issues, distraction from home and so on.

Education is something which requires full concentration. But
because of this situation, no proper attention is given. No one of
us knows how long the pandemic would take place. The question
which arises is that what we can do to make our online studies up
to the mark.
We should work smart instead of work hard. The online system
also gives us opportunities to gain knowledge and skills instead of
memorizing just to pass an exam. Also, we can indulge our self in
different other courses apart from the ones offered by our
institute.
The best we can do to utilize our time and abilities in the online
system is to set a time table for our studies. If we face problems in
understanding the concepts online, there’s still option to either
learn from any other source or review the recordings whenever it
is convenient. The peer support can also turn out to be useful.
To sum up, we can say that nothing is impossible in the world.
We just need to act smartly and think of alternatives. Also, a
person should develop the ability of tackling things according to
the situation. Work smart instead of work hard, because:
