As years go by technology has become a more vital part of the life of individuals. Borders in
today`s world are just a formality. Technology has brought us together; the whole world now is
viewed as one.
Remote working. Technology has made it possible to work remotely. Employees have the
privilege to work form the comfort of their homes, but also employers can hire the most qualified
candidate from around the world, creating a “globalized” work environment.
Unified cultures. The way we think nowadays is heavily affected by technology. Most of our
opinions have been shaped through being exposed to the ideas and beliefs of millions from
around the world. These days we can access beliefs, cultures, from around the world, blending it
with our own.
Technology improves efficiency, leading this to a faster and cheaper process of exchange.
Through technology we can now trade goods on the internet from the comfort our homes.
Everything is shipped and brought to our home or vice versa within hours.
Development in IT has also led to the production of services through outsourcing. Online
teaching for instance. Each and every student form around the world can access teaching
materials brought to them in one click. This makes students be part of educational or scientific
communities hundreds of miles away from their position.
Globalization is defined as : free market, economic liberalization, the proliferation of new
information, all definitions that come to one factor that made it possible, technology. From its
prehistoric forms, to nowadays peek, technology has always had the leading role in the making
and development of globalization.
