Today, Filipino male and female are the ones providing leadership and management in
business.
Although one of the barriers for the growth of MSMEs is lack of managerial skill, Filipino
MSME owner-managers never lost sight in managing the day-to-day operation of the business
without sacrificing relationship with their crews, staff or workers. Culture, norms and orientation make
Filipinos task oriented and people oriented.
Based on the self-assessment of the respondents, results have revealed that the common
management style among all MSME owners was Team Management style.

ICONS OF TEAM SPIRIT:
Bayanihan is the most valued culture of the Filipino people. It simply means giving a hand to the
community and accomplishing goals together as one. Another term for Bayanihan is community spirit.
In the old times, Bayanihan is clearly showcased when people in a particular ‘barangay’ gather and work
together to move the traditional house called ‘Bahay Kubo.’
With Larong Pinoy, the team bonding goals flows naturally everyone remembering childhood memories,
making everybody alive with youthful camaraderie.
'One-country team' in time of calamities and disasters.
Together Everyone Achieves More
Team management is like a relays game. Each member of the team is carrying a baton to pass on to the
next to reach the desired goal.
Whatever the endeavor is, be filled with team spirit.
