Launched a CARF-accredited organization respected nationally and internationally for providing Substance Use Disorder
Treatment, Prevention, and Recovery services, leading the strategy, management, and execution of a local substance abuse
program and spearheading a team of 50 employees in the care for over 4,000 clients annually across the city of Detroit.










Conducted workforce development and recovery centered systems of care training in MI, OH, IN, and IL. Selected to consult
with the Presidential Emergency Preparedness for Aids Relief (PEPFAR) project to reduce the HIV and AIDS, substance use
disorder, and malaria epidemic across East Africa (Tanzania & Nairobi). Collaborated with the Center for Disease Control in the
development, training, and implementation of a holistic, recovery-oriented system of care program over a five-year span.




Trained US judges, social workers, and drug court professionals on therapeutic approaches to criminal justice at the
National Drug Court Institute.
Provided management training with a focus on recovery-oriented systems of care to government, nonprofit and
private-sector clients at the Altarum Institute.
Streamlined recommendations and best-practice training to implement recovery support services throughout
Minnesota for Betty Ford Hazelden.
Advised on recovery-oriented systems of care and recovery support services and trained the board of directors and
staff on peer support services for the Twin Cities Recovery Project.

Coordinated all activities for the Youth Development Institute through the City of Detroit Health Department’s Bureau
of Substance Abuse, Treatment, Prevention, and Recovery.
Served as the Designated Youth Tobacco Usage Representative for the City of Detroit Department of Health Wellness
& Promotions and provided quarterly written reports to the state of Michigan office of drug control policy.
Managed the Tri-Cities Tobacco Coalition activities program to reduce tobacco usage amongst youth.
Administered tobacco reduction campaigns and was instrumental in the development of second-hand tobacco laws
requiring working with county and state officials.
Oversaw the Federal SYNAR Law (prohibiting the sale and distribution of tobacco products to people under 18) for the
associated Coordinating Agency.
