Why MRI is better?
IN BRIEF
Unlike other spectroscopy techniques,
NMRI does not use ionizing radiation.
Since over exposure to radiation is
carcinogenic, MRI does not pose the
risk of developing cancer in the
patients.
Do’s and Don’ts
Notify the practitioner for any
implants that may contain
metal
Never wear any jewelry or any
metal piece on the body.
If claustrophobic, before taking
the MRI scan, ask for sedative
People with pacemakers and
implsnt devices are not
allowed to enter the MRI Room
Communicate other medical
conditions such as allergies if
contrasting agent will be used
Don’t hold back information
about your body and health to
avoid problems.
