Internet Connectivity Assistance
First Semester, School Year 2021-22
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The following governs the transferring of load to qualified STI students officially enrolled in the First
Semester of School Year 2021-22. Students/parents must affix signature in the space provided below to
attest they have read, understood and accepted the terms and conditions stipulated hereunder.
I.
PURPOSE
The Internet Connectivity Assistance (ICA) is part of the Online Onsite at STI Learning Model for SY202122. Since online learning is an important component of this model especially during the pandemic, STI
aims to empower students with connectivity to access the STI eLearning Management System (eLMS) as
well as other learning sites and applications.
II.
GENERAL TERMS
a. The Smart data load of up to 34 GB every 30 days during the semester are free to qualified
students.
b. Globe data is available as an option to students and need to pay a non-refundable fee of Php 155
upon enrollment to avail of up to 20 GB of data load every 30 days for qualified students.
c. New students need to provide their own Smart or Globe prepaid mobile number for registration
to this program.
d. Old students must use the sim issued during SY2020-21 or the existing prepaid number they
registered.
e. Other SIMs like Talk n’ Text (TNT), Sun, and Touch Mobile (TM) are not eligible under this program.
f. Students can only register one SIM at a time.
g. Students who are given the data load to their registered sim are encouraged to use it for its
intended educational purpose.
h. Call and text are not part of the load. Students may avail of call and text load at their expense
from the school or other outlets. Any additional top-up on data is also at the student’s expense.
III.
STI ASSISTANCE
a. The following will be provided by STI as part of its assistance to students:

b. STI will take care of loading the data allowance every 30 days to qualified students.
c. Other loads may be availed at the local STI school subject to the prevailing price.
d. STI will coordinate services related to change/enrollment of a new personal SIM number to be
registered under the Internet Connectivity Assistance.
e. The bandwidth and signal strength are solely the responsibility of the TELCO provider and cannot
be guaranteed. However, STI will do its best to coordinate with the providers for technical
problems.
IV.
RESPONSIBILITY OF STUDENTS/PARENTS
a. While the Smart data load is free to students and the Globe data load is subsidized, STI needs to
pay Smart and Globe for their services to ensure continuity. In line with this, it is the responsibility
of the students and their parents to settle payment of school fees on or before the given due
dates.
b. Students who miss to settle the payment for the required amount indicated in the assessment
based on due date will not receive data load. They may load their SIMs at the school at the
student’s expense. Data load for the succeeding months shall resume once the student is up-todate with their payments on or before the due dates.
c. It is the student’s responsibility to inform the school personnel in-charge in case there’s a need to
change or enroll a new SIM number under the Internet Connectivity Assistance.
d. Students are expected to use the SIM number enrolled for them and data load responsibly for its
intended educational purpose. STI reserves the right to discontinue the data load allocation due
to irresponsible use.
V.
PROGRAM DURATION
The Internet Connectivity Assistance under ONE-STI is a temporary program related to the delivery of
online learning to students while face-to-face classes are limited or not allowed. The data plan and
duration are subject to periodic review and may be terminated or revised by STI solely at its discretion
when it deems appropriate.
