When he feels the work is way too easy for him, he decides to have fun. He becomes bored with the class and starts to make the class fun. Though he becomes disruptive, and his disruption results in reinforcement. The fact that he is getting sent to the office takes away his focus on learning. Mr. Potter does not know how to keep Adam behaved while in the classroom. Adam’s disruption causes some other students to lose their focus, and most of them have to be sent to the office as well. Question 2 Probably, Adam did not like to do the writing assignments. Though he is a bright student, when he gets his work done, he becomes bored and shows his feelings of carelessness when writing assignments. Question 3 Within the two weeks, Adam has not yet learned much from the language arts subject. He may have learned from other subjects because he only disrupts during Mr. Potters class of writing assignments. This is also evident as he is sent down to the office. Question 4 Adam gets the attention of the other students. Additionally, he is a bright student, and he could be famous. Therefore, the other students may think that he is funny. CRITICAL THINKING 3 Question 5 Mr. Potter should call and sit down with Adam’s parents. He should comment on how Adam is a bright student and the wellness of his work. However, the fact that he has been disrupting the class for the past two weeks during the writing assignments could take away the focus of his learning. In the class, if Adam still disrupts, Mr. Potter should take away all attention from Adam and place him in the room away from the other students.
