(SIAM), Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA) and Federation of
Automobile Dealers Association (FADA) and Government of India represented by
Department of Heavy Industry and National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).
In a post-Covid-19 world, it cannot be yesterday once more. As the beleaguered industry comes to
grips with the growing losses created by the countrywide lockdown and the need to restart operations
in a new dynamic of social distancing, skilling is going to be one of the growth drivers in the immediate
future and beyond.
Another effect of the Lockdown has been on the student community. The learning centres including
all the schools and colleges were shut during the pandemic.
The Polytechnic/ITI students have to mandatorily undergo an internship programme to learn and
understand the existing industrial technologies and acquire new technical knowledge for better
understanding of their subjects. This internship also helps the technical students to better prepare
themselves for their future job roles.
With a view to fill this gap, ASDC has come up with the following Online courses to equip the
Polytechnic & ITI students to upgrade their knowledge in a phased manner by using the E-Learning
platform –
1. CNC Operator Machining Technician - ASC/Q3501 (NSQF
Level 3)
About this Course
This course has been developed to train freshers. It aims to build and upgrade the skills and capabilities
of machining technicians to effectively support the CNC operators in all machining activities.
This self-paced online course includes interesting videos of relevant digital content, and multiple-choice
practice questions. It is optimised for desktops, laptops and mobile devices, so the students can learn
at their convenience anytime, anywhere and on any device.
On completion of this course, the students will acquire the necessary skills to provide effective support
to the CNC operator in all pre-machining activities, machining of the actual part, ad hoc repair work,
gauging, deburring and inspection activities.

About this Course
The industry is looking for skilled workforce. Unless one upgrades their skills according to the industry

course provides a better platform to learn about advanced technologies in the automotive domain,

An auto component assembly fitter is one who is skilled in operating machine tools for conducting
assembly and fitment operations of vehicle components and aggregates as per the required assembly
norms. The components assembled by the operators will be finally assembled in the given 2-wheeler,
3-wheeler, 4-wheeler and large commercial vehicles.
