This protection can be given by an 8-feet tall fence made of concrete and steel to enclose the whole territory of the plantation. Surrounding the entire plantation with this kind of fence will give feelings of security, peace of mind, safety, and orderliness to every person involved in the management of the plantation. 1. Introduction 1.1 Problem This proposal is a technical report to explain the need to enclose the twohectare DAFFO Malunggay Plantation with fence made of concrete and steel. Since the owners put up this company five years ago, it has incurred a lot of stealing and loss of property worth millions of pesos. Worse, loss of lives and body injuries also resulted from the unsecured physical aspect of the company. True, in this third year of operation, a bamboo fence extended security to the area to a certain extent, but since this material was not as durable and lasting as concrete and steel, this very first fence of the plantation failed to give the kind of safety and security that the company badly needed. 1.2 Purpose The goal or main purpose of this report is to propose a durable, lasting, and economical fence to protect the DAFFO Malunggay Plantation from various negative environmental elements. Stated in a question, the goal of this proposal is - What kind of fence should be used to give the best and maximum protection to the two-hectare DAFFO Malunggay Plantation. Likewise, it aims at finding answers to the following specific objectives: 1. What mixture or combination of materials fit the needed fence for the plantation? 2. How tall should the fence be? 3. What is the distance between the parallel steel? 4. What is the color of the fence? 5. How wide should the gate be? 1.3 Scope Includes in this proposal are only the following specific jobs: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. Purchasing materials Designing the fence Excavating or digging the layout Welding steel Constructing concrete parts Putting up and attaching welded steel to the concrete posts Applying anti-corrosion mixture Attaching solid gate to the fence Painting the fence The task listed here will apply only to the whole area covered by the plantation. Excluded is the 300-square meter area fronting the plantation in which the administration offices of the company are situated. 2. Work Plan 2.1 Technical Description The proposed fence for the plantation in made of the following materials: 1. Steel Steel is made of material made of numerous alloys of iron and 0.1-15% carbon, plus other metals such as chromium, nickel, or manganese. It can be cast, rolled, or drawn. In its solid state, it will appear hard, and strong enough to serve as an excellent material for construction work, cutting purposes, and cable wiring. 2. Concrete Hollow Blocks (CHB, size 6) The CBH or concrete hollow blocks are rectangular objects made of sand and of hollow portion or empty space in the middlemost part of the rectangular object. Workers will pour concrete into the empty space to make the CBHs stick together. Concrete is a hard substance that results from the mixture of sand, gravel, or crushed stones, cement, and water. Five layers of hardened CBHs will serve as the foundation of the vertically positioned 20mm, steel. The steel placed in a parallel manner will maintain a 3-inch distance from one another. 3. Post A post of a fence is a cylindrical structure in an upward position that is made up of concrete and elongate steel. To this post will the horizontally ordered 20mm. steel be permanently attached. The post will be as high as the other components of the proposed fence. 4. Anti-corrosion mixture This mixture is a rust killer to be coated around the steel to prevent it from rust or corrosion. The specific anti-corrosion product to be used in this fencing project will be the Rust-Killer Anti-Rust Primer I, an easy to use single pack rust stabilizer that us especially formulated to provide durable, and effective protection of rusted steelwork. Here is the technical description of the anti-corrosion material: Recommended Wet film thickness – micron: (mi/5) 75 (3) Recommended Dry film thickness – micron: (mi/5) 32 (1.25) Storage: Cool, and dry place at min, temperature of 10’C (50’F) Product No: 140-5904065 Gloss level: low sheen level ( 20 liters ) Colour: light brown Volume solids: 43% Flash Post Above 32’C (90’F) Specific gravity: 1.28 lbs. Delivery form: Single container Touch Dry 3 hrs. 3’C/50F 2.5 hrs. 15’C/59’F 2 hrs. 20’C/60’F 1.5 hrs. 23’C/77’F 5. Gate A gate is an opening or a passageway through the fence that is made of wood, steel, or metal. Depending on the wish of a client, it comes in different sizes, shapes, and weight. Set upon hinges or pivots, a gate is capable of being opened and close or shut up. If it is shut up, it will be enough to fill in the opening in a wall or fence. The kind of gate described in tis specific portion of the report I s the proposed gate for the DAFFO Malunggay Plantation. 2.2 Work Process Guided by the SPECS for the project, the work will sequentially proceed this manner: 1. Purchasing materials 2. Designing the fence 3. Excavating or digging the layout 4. Welding steel 5. Constructing concrete parts 6. Putting up and attaching welded steel to the concrete posts 7. Applying anti-corrosion mixture 8. Attaching solid gate to the fence 9. Painting the fence 2.3 Personnel Qualification The ELBAR steel works has been in the construction industry for more than two decade.
