Precision CNC Bed Mill Safety Procedures 1. You shouldn’t use this machine unless you have been trained in its safe use and operation. 2. Ensure that your task is clearly understood. 3. Ensure the operator wears appropriate personal protective equipment. (Apron and full face shield) 4. Never wear long sleeved clothing, gloves or anything that can potentially be grabbed by the machine. 5. If you have long hair, ensure that it is tied up and away from the machine. 6. Ensure all guards and chip shields are in place. 7. Check that the work piece is securely clamped. 8. Remove all tools from the bed of the machine. 9. Ensure correct cnc program is selected. 10. Identify on/off switch and emergency stop button. 11. Never leave the machine running while unattended. 12. Before making adjustments switch off and bring the machine to a complete standstill. 13. Never attempt to slow/stop the chuck or revolving work by hand. 14. Avoid letting swarf build up on the tool or job. Stop the machine and remove it. 15.
