May 8th 2021 Your Digital Proficiency Process The digital proficiency process consists of four steps: navigate, select, use, and review. You will follow the steps of this process in order to reach your primary goal, but it is important to make sure you understand your goal before beginning. Let’s take a look at the steps. First, in the Navigate step, you will decide what it is you are trying to accomplish and what kinds of digital tools you might need, such as a web browser or a word processing program. In the select phrase, you would actually choose the specific tools that you would use, such as Chrome or Microsoft Word. In the use step, you will proceed to perform the assigned tasks using the digital tools you selected. And finally, in the Review phase, you would consider your experience using the digital tool, and think about where you were successful and what you might need to continue to practice. Following these steps can help you to become more confident when you begin to use new technology.
