Wish
Across my vision stands an endless world
A realm of paths to places seen on small screens
It waves a soothing motion towards me
An unsuccessful call my mind ignores
Despite my purpose being here today
Mainly to ease my anxiety
The call reminds me only of wishes
A wish to not be tied against this old
and draining material world
For all I can see coast end to coast end
is opportunities ancient souls had
A time when curiosity drove lives
That life has vanished leaving only a trace
A trace that only is seen in hope
