Final Task Online 1) PRE-TASK ACTIVITY The teacher will encounter their students synchronically through Google Meet and asynchronically through the platform Edmodo. Students will enter the platform Edmodo (https://new.edmodo.com/joincg/gi4dyh) with their user and password and they will look into the posts on the wall. The first post is about a short quiz. https://view.genial.ly/60662744d1f9500d4b56934e/interactive-content-quiz students will answer the quiz about diseases and symptoms with the knowledge of the previous lessons. 2) TASK ONLINE In this stage, we will monitor them and help them just if they ask for our help. Students will work with a web page which describes the most common winter Illness: https://johannavasencio.wixsite.com/medline. This website contains short descriptions of symptoms and treatments of Bronchiolitis, Flu, Common cold, Strep throat, Dengue, and Pneumonia. Then, students will work in groups (which will be chosen randomly by the webpage https://www.flippity.net/) with a different disease . Each group will create a game using the link below. They will work with the disease they were given. The objective of the game is that each group must guess the other groups’ disease. Find a video, or upload one yourself and use https://edpuzzle.com/ to simulate a medical consultation. Once you answer a question, press “Continue” to go to the next one. For example: https://edpuzzle.com/assignments/606af8b2742b97425788dba4/watch During the task, each group will have a Meet’s link, which will be supervised by the teacher through the extension Breakout Rooms. In this way, each group will be able to work independently, and the teacher will be able to work with each group at the same time. 3) PLANNING After the task stage, we will also help them to shape their meanings. Students will share the link of their production with their classmates to generate an exchange between them. Each group will share the link of their game with other groups to make a funny and interactive activity between them. All of the students can secure all the vocabulary and structures they have seen in the previous lessons. The teacher will give constant support to the children and will encourage them to participate. 4) REPORT The teacher will assign a schedule for every group of students in order to provide correct feedback as well as having the platform space (Google Meet) needed for the teacher to maximize its features.
