In Quebec, there is a code that stipulates measures that are required for handling, installation and use
of propane-powered equipment.
These measures are intended to reduce the risk of accidents and ensure your safety.

Tanks
In Quebec, tank installation standards are regulated by the Régie du Bâtiment du Québec. Regulations
are available from the Canadian Standards Association in documents entitled Code sur le stockage et la
manipulation du propane and Natural Gas and Propane Installation Codes. The following is a summary.

Note: Regardless of the tank format in the table above, it must always be situated at least 10 feet (3,)
away from any source of inflammation.
