Well, there are actually all kinds of items that tourists and guests may purchase
but I would personally recommend our national clothes. As you may know, our
national dress which is called atlas or adras can be a valuable gift to take home
for anyone. As for men, they could buy our national skullcup which is also very
beautiful and national robes which we call chopon in uzbek language. Another
thing that travels to Uzbekistan can buy is some souvenir items. For example,
many shops now sell ceramic products in the shape of our ancient buildings
which are also our national heritage. I’m sure that there are many other things as
well such as books but from my point of view, national clothes and ceramics are

organize different reading competitions or contests and show the winners on the
TV. I’m sure that this will also make more and more students become interested
in books.

weeks. Another reason is that people are now more aware of different beautiful
places around the world thanks to the Internet. Consequently, they want to see
those picturesque places with their own eyes rather than in the pictures or movies.
Take pyramids as an example: every year thousands of tourists go to Egypt just to
see these marvelous buildings.
