Motivation Letter
Being an ethnic minority in an oppressive regime, I have developed a nature of
non-conformism towards social taboos and injustices in the society. This non-conformism
developed into social activism when I joined the university clubs for debates and human rights.
Since then I had not only participated in various campaigns and conferences but also promoted
and organized such activities and events.
I live in a war-torn area of Baluchistan, where peace is a mere dream and war is a routine,
social stability is an illusion and justice is superficial; therefore, I have been forced by my
non-conformist nature to become resilient and active. To materialize that dream of peace and
social justice, I embarked on a journey to bring social change in my community. For that
specific reason I have studied sociology, economics and international relations after
completing engineering, so that I have a valid and thorough understanding of the issues.
Additionally, I undertook MOOC courses on leadership and human rights from well reputed
forums such as HarvardX and edX. I have been actively debating and fighting for not only
peace and equality but also for minority rights. Therefore, I have acquired memberships of
international and national NGOs such as Amnesty International and Youth Parliament of
Pakistan.
After spending enough time in field activism, I want to pursue a formal degree in policy
advice and leadership. For that purpose, Stipendium Hungaricum is the best option to go for.
Studying in Hungary, in a diverse and multi cultural environment would expand y horizons.
This degree will provide me with the opportunity to interact and exchange ideas with diverse
minds from different countries. This program will provide me with an adequate approach to
utilize my leadership potentials to mobilize my mission of peace. It will provide a specific
direction to my efforts for building peace in my community and world.
I will prove to be very beneficial for this program for many reasons as my ideology
resonates with the aim of this program, my knowledge verifies my participation in the course,
and my socializing nature guarantees friendly exchange of ideas during the course. All of the
above skills, education and dedication make me highly suitable for this program.
