WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?
The development of our society cannot exceed the carrying capacity of resources and
environment. Because people pursue fashion, fashion clothing manufacturing is
demanding more exclusive materials, which caused massive slaughters of animals and
harm to the environment.
WHY SHOULD PEOPLE CARE?
Because we live on the earth, this is the only place we can live so far. If we
damage the environment, we will have to live in a bad environment, so eventually
we are damaging ourselves. Fashion industry caused environmental problems.
First, the procedure of making cotton needs a large amount of water, and pesticides
used in cotton cultivation, toxic dyes used in the manufacturing process and large
amounts of waste are all harmful. Also, the manufacturing process generates a
lot of harmful chemicals that could harm worker’s health and contaminate the
environment. Jeans we wear every day not only pollute the air, but also may do great
harm to workers' health. In addition, the shipping process also causes pollution.

WHAT COLORS WILL YOU USE ? COLOR PALETTE GENERATOR
I will use some lighter colors to collocate with darker colors to make a contrast in the
picture. Some colors I may use include: pink, yellow, purple, blue, orange, green, etc. It
can bring a strong contrast to the audience.
WHAT IMAGES WILL YOU USE?
I will use images from website like Unsplash. I will use images about animal furs,
textile wastes, black smokes, toxic chemicals, liquid wastes, etc. Because these are the
pictures relate to my themes. I will also use pictures of plants, vegetation, soils, masks,
factories, etc. to make contrast with my themes, so that it can have the effect of
warning.
WHAT IS THE MESSAGE YOU WILL TRY TO SHOW?
The message I want to show is that people need to consider more when they are
pursuing fashion. They need to think about what effect will their action bring to the
environment. And they have to start to make changes before it was too late, that’s the
way they can make our living environment better and making sustainable
development of the earth.
