alcohol. In Part 2, you will identify the moderate and excessive use of alcohol in various
scenarios.
Part 1 - The Effects of Alcohol on the Body: Review the section in your textbook on how
alcohol affects the body (pp. 344-345). Complete the chart to identify short-term and long-term
effects of alcohol consumption for each part of the body. Be prepared to share your answers
with the class.

displays moderate or excessive alcohol consumption. Then re-visit each scenario and use the
BAC calculator at http://bloodalcoholcalculator.org/ to determine the blood alcohol level. Be
prepared to share your answers with the class.

period. Lucas currently weighs 180 pounds.

past 2 hours and currently weighs 220 pounds.
Zoey and a friend stole wine from their parents and
each drank a full bottle of wine (6 glasses) over the
course of 2 hours. Zoey currently weighs 118 pounds.
Jayden went to a party and had 12 lite beers. Jayden
will affect him over the course of the 3 hour party.
