OUR POLICY STATEMENT
Bushman hotel is committed to achieving the principles of health and safety at all sectors
including front and back of house and admins, we recognize our moral and legal responsibility
to provide a safe and healthy work environment or employees, contractors, customers and
visitors. This commitment also extend to ensuring that our operations do not place the local
community or environment at risk of injury, illness or damages.
OUR MISSION
Bushman hotel is not only committed to ensuring that all legislative are met but also to
establishing a position of excellence in its handling of the workplace health safety and welfare
issues
OUR AIM AND AS OBJECTIVES








In order to support this policy, the organization will:
Comply with all relevant legislation and statutory requirements;
Promote health & safety awareness and the development of healthy and safe working
procedures;
Provide information, training, instruction and adequate protective equipment;
Ensure Bushman hotel have a representative Workplace Health and Safety Committee;
Consult with staff on health and safety matters and on ways to reduce workplace hazards
and improve control systems;
Maintain effective accident analysis and hazard reporting systems, with an emphasis on
leading indicators;
Develop and implement WH&S policies and systems that are transparent and meet good
governance standards including establishing and maintaining objectives and targets with
the aim of eliminating work related incidents, injury or illness, and achieving continual
improvement.
OUR RESPONSIBILITY’S
The Work Health Safety Act 2011 outlines the responsibilities for directors, CEO, Managers
and staff. We encourage staff to make themselves familiar with the Work Health Safety Act
2011, so they understand their role and that of Board and Management.
As an organization our responsibilities include:





Training our employees, contractors, interns, volunteers, community groups
Ensure all WHS policies and procedures are implemented;
Ensuring that all our WHS policies and procedures are implemented;
Establishing measurable objectives and targets to ensure continued improvement aimed
at the elimination of work-related injuries and illnesses;
Providing adequate resources to meet the WHS requirements.

which include:
