Introduction This research paper was conducted to give insight on the current situation of the Philippines during this pandemic. The pandemic reached the country within the second month of the year 2020, the infection of this disease was slow thus there weren’t many precautions made by the public and the government as well. During the start of this pandemic, the Taal volcano had recently erupted causing severe ashfall in places near the country’s capital which resulted in limited stocks of masks and personal protection equipment available to the public and became a factor in the spread of the virus in the country. When the severity of this pandemic was known to the world, several citizens were already infected without knowing it and continued to spread the virus to the public. Body As of today, April 27, 2020, there are already 7777 total cases of Covid19 in the country, 932 recoveries and 511 deaths. 600 500 400 300 Cases Mortality 200 100 26.апр 24.апр 22.апр 20.апр 18.апр 16.апр 14.апр 12.апр 10.апр 08.апр 06.апр 04.апр 02.апр 31.мар 29.мар 27.мар 25.мар 23.мар 21.мар 19.мар 17.мар 15.мар 0 DATA CHART 1 DATA CHART 1 shows the daily updates of cases in the Philippines from the start of the Enhanced Community Quarantine sanctioned at the dawn of March 15, 2020. The highest number of cases recorded in a day was 538 cases on March 31, 2020. The mortality cases per day was also recorded, showing that the highest number was 50 mortalities on April 12, 2020. The data might not be as accurate as the real-time infections because of the delay in the results of the tests. The parameters of being tested also affects the data since the government only tests people with visible symptoms and with known contact with an infected Covid19 patient. Most infected people show symptoms but there are also cases wherein infected people are asymptomatic, which means they don’t show any symptoms at all. Without symptoms, a person wouldn’t know if he/she has been infected thus having no reason to be tested. Gender Female Male For validation DATA CHART 2 The gender of the infected cases in the country is presented above, DATA CHART 2. Most of the cases are still up for validation, 58.30%. While there are more male cases, 24.90%, than female cases, 16.80%, as of today. Even with a cure for the virus, it would take time for it to be distributed to the infected since there are 3,008,196 Recommendations
