Examination Assignment Format
1. This assignment is to be done individually
2. Do not share your responses with anyone otherwise your work may become a

3. Format for saving your work: course code, course title, ID number, date of submission.
For example: UGBS 402_Business Policy_ID NO_1234_ June 17, 2020
4. Save your work in MS Word format. Do not save in pdf!
5. Font size & type: New Times Roman (12pt), with 1.5mm spacing; number all pages
6. References should be documented (optional) using:
• APA method (author’s surname, year and/or page in parenthesis within the
body of the text and references)
• All references and sources must be acknowledged
7. Check for typographical and grammatical errors
8. Title pages should list:
• Index Number
• Name of Lecturers
• Title of assignment (Examination)
• Course code & title
• Date of submission
9. Adhere strictly to the submission deadline which is 17th June, 2020.

QUESTIONS:
A. Describe the activities of any small business you know or are familiar with (e.g. physical,
online). Using the framework for designing annual objectives, discuss how the small
business in question will apportion annual objectives to its staff and control the process (15
marks).
B. Using examples, explain how goals, targets, annual objectives and long-term objectives
will be different among corporate bodies, public sector institutions and non-governmental
organizations (10 marks).
C. With one (1) example each, state and explain five (5) outputs derived from a business
policy (5 marks).
