Writing Task… *How has the UAE developed its landscape from past to present? The United Arab Emirates, a federation of seven emirates along the eastern coast. Abu Dhabi is the capital emirate and it is the largest emirate. The UAE has developed a lot since its inception until the desert was transformed into a green paradise. The United Arab Emirates has developed the region to make it suitable for living and be ahead of the rest of the world. UAE contains many deserts, such as the Empty Quarter Desert and Al Khatim Desert. Life in the Emirates in the past was all about pearl diving and simple crafts, not agriculture, because it’s located in the desert climate. Houses were very small and close to each other, They were using camels in transportation, because people didn’t have as much money as they do now. Although the UAE contains a large percentage of deserts, it is characterized by sand dunes, oases, and mountains. It’s also bordered by Arabian Gulf coast. How the landscape in the UAE changed over time? When we talk about the development of the UAE, we must talk about Sheikh Zayed, who transformed the UAE into a green paradise and planted many trees and plants after scientists said that it is a barren land and not suitable for cultivation. He insisted not to listen to them and invest in this land. The UAE was an unremarkable area before the discovery of oil in 1966. After this year, the UAE has become a commercial and economic center in front of the world. Dubai has also become a leader in trade and tourism after the discovery of oil. Its topography differs from that in the southern portion. As a large part of the landscape in Dubai is highlighted by sandy desert patterns. After the development of landscapes in the Emirates with the presence of mountains, swamps, valleys, and mangroves. The oases are mostly of date palms, most oases are in the emirate of Abu Dhabi. Abu Dhabi turned from the poorest to the richest. In conclusion, I would like to say that the UAE has changed and developed with determination and persistence.
