Preacher Claims Oreo Cookies Are
Racist (March 2008)
• Civil rights leader Joe U. Oamee has announced
that Oreo cookies are a racist tool invented by
the white man to oppress blacks.
• He said the white cream in the middle signified
the white man dividing the brothers, keeping
them apart and keeping them down.
• When asked how a cookie caused division
between blacks and whites, the Reverend said
that it was a symbol that the white people
pushed on black people to condition their minds
subliminally.

• A spokesman for Nabisco, the makers of
Oreo cookies, said that the notion of
Oreos signifying racism was absurd.
• If anything, they represented racial
harmony; blacks and whites working
together to make a whole that was
greater than the sum of its parts.
Oreo as a racist remark…
• An insulting term often used by blacks to
derogate other blacks as "Black on the
outside, white on the inside." White on the
inside meaning anything from speaking
proper English, getting good grades, liking
music that isn't hip hop, rap or R&B and
having a diverse group of friends.
• "That girl is such an Oreo. I can't believe
she is listening to Metallica”.
