As we continue to study Othello, you will prepare a diary entry from the perspective of one of
the main characters (Iago, Othello, Desdemona, Cassio, Roderigo, or Emilia). This diary entry requires
you to imagine how one of these characters would have responded to what he or she heard and saw in
Acts I, II, III, IV, and V.
Your character’s diary entry should reveal connections between what he or she hears, sees, or
observes. In addition, your diary entry must focus on actual language in Othello. Imagine how your
character might have responded to one of the other characters’ remarks.
