Rylee Ochs Starr 5th Hour Psych Behavior Modification Project For my behavior modification project I chose to modify the amount of water I drank each day. I wanted to learn to drink six cups of water a day. For my behavior I chose operant conditioning. I picked to use positive reinforcement. My reward for every glass I drank was a Hersey’s Kiss. My first step was to buy my materials; I needed to buy Hersey’s Kisses and a pack of plastic water bottles. My second step was to figure out how many bottles I needed to drink by a certain time of the day. My third and final step was to reward myself with a Hersey’s Kiss when I drank a water bottle on time. In the week I had conducted the trial there was no interference. One interference I could have come across was not finishing my bottles of water on time, which would put me behind on time and bottles and I would have to rush drinking the rest of them. The final result of my project was that I learned to drink more water everyday which is good for your body. I was able to achieve my goal.
