Haiku
A Haiku is a poem where the first line has 5 syllables, the second 7 syllables
and the third 5 syllables again. They often compare & contrast ideas.
Choose 1 of the lists from the Keyword Page, then use the graphic organizer
above to write a Haiku using at least 2 of the keywords from that category.
When writing your Haiku keep in mind that each circle represents 1 syllable.
Acrostic
Name: _________________
In an Acrostic poem, the first letter of each line of the poem spells a word.
Choose 1 word from the Keyword Page, and write it in the square boxes - this
provides the letter at the beginning of each line of your poem. Then write an
Acrostic poem using at least 4 of the keywords from that same list.
