Female Sea Turtles have always laid their eggs on beaches. Before the population of coastal cities,

An LED requires a Power Factor of about 35-40%
more. This is referred to as V/A (Volt/Amps).
Add another 10-20%, due to change from AC to DC.
These two metrics together, at most cause the LED to
require twice as much power as a normal incandescent

LEDS are low voltage, direct-current lights that require special power supplies to
optimize their light output and lifespan. A magnetic transformer doesn’t have the
intelligence required to properly supply LEDS with power that is clean in order to
extend the longevity and lifespan of the LEDS. When standard low voltage
transformers supply power to the LEDS directly, the LEDS can flicker, vary in
brightness and loose luminosity and use up to 50% more electricity.
CONSTANT CURRENT & STABLE VOLTAGE
•
LEDS are very sensitive to changes in voltage. When the voltage across the led is too high, it draws too much current, reducing its
lifespan. If the voltage is too low, the led draws too little current and gives off less light.
•
Low voltage transformers have fixed internal resistance. The resistance of the LEDS connected to transformer changes with age
and with the operating temperature of the LEDS. Different LEDS may have different resistances. When the transformer with age

Low voltage transformers supply different levels of current when the line voltage on the input side fluctuates or when there are
power surges. LEDS are very sensitive to over-current and can rapidly overheat and burn out during current fluctuations. Led

a surge, the led driver keeps the current traveling through the lamp constant and stable. This is what we refer to as clean and

F.A.C.T STRATEGIES IN WIRING METHODS
F = Fixture to Fixture
A = Adaptable
C = Customizable Dual Lead
T = T-Modified (“T” Method)
This is the only wiring method that allows you to combine all
methods of wiring; T-Method, Daisy Chain, Trunk and Branch,
Hub Method, Loop, Fixture 2 Fixture (F2F) and Home run. The
flexibility of the FACT method of Wiring, it can save you up to
50% in labor and wire.
The FACT Method of wiring is a 30-foot Wire Lead that is tied
back into itself, connecting back at the fixture which creates the
Loop. When cut, the Loop turns into a Customizable Dual Lead
which then allows you to use to combine any of the above wire
methods.
Connecting fixtures 2 fixtures, just like a 120v system. Its the first
12v Low Voltage Lighting System that thinks it’s a high voltage
system.
Industry first supplied 30ft of MAX FLEXTM Polarity Safe Wire.
Transformers come with an additional 50ft of wire. Combine the
extra 50ft from each transformer plus the 30ft on each fixture,
means that you will not need to purchase additional wire.

In this application, we’re working with a typical patio with a relatively fixed listening area: A Table and Chairs where people gather to dine when
the weather is nice. Since most of the listening will be in this one area, the best solution is a pair of Niles OS Indoor/Outdoor Loudspeaker
mounted on the wall wired to play stereo sound. Since the listeners are in the “Sweet Spot” they are positioned to enjoy the best possible
stereo imaging. The sound will be spacious with a realistic sound-stage of music filling the area.

What happens when you step out of the “Sweet Spot?” In this application, we have multiple listening areas: People enjoying a weekend barbecue sitting at two tables and chairs. Sometimes, these listening areas are not located in the stereo “Sweet Spot” described in Application #1, so
the listener’s ability to hear the stereo image is diminished because of their proximity to one speaker. One Speaker becomes dominant, masking
the sound of the other.

This guideline may sound simple, but it’s
amazing how often it’s ignored. By positioning the
loudspeakers between 12' (3.7 m) to 15' (4.7 m) of
the listening area, you provide quality sound for the
listeners at comfortable volume levels, without the
need for huge amounts of amplifier power.

Niles OS 7.5 Outdoor Loudspeaker
A high-performance loudspeaker
designed to mount on walls, in
corners, and under eaves.
The solution is a pair of Niles Stereo input (SI) Loudspeakers. SI Loudspeakers product blended stereo Sound from a single cabinet by utilizing
two properly positioned tweeters and a dual voice coil woofer. The stereo imaging and spaciousness may not be as good as the “Sweet Spot”
using conventional stereo loudspeakers, but in turn, you get even coverage of stereo-like sound. There are SI versions of all Niles Outdoor

When entertaining outdoors, what you really want is
smooth, even sound throughout the entire listening
area. To achieve this goal, Niles makes two basic
types of weatherproof outdoor loudspeakers:
conventional stereo and stereo input (SI).
Conventional stereo is the two-speaker, left and right
setup that we all know and love. Not as well known
is stereo input. These loudspeakers provide blended
stereo sound from a single enclosure. When designing
outdoor systems, it really helps to understand the
advantages of each and what all the options are. Why
settle for so-so, when you can have a system that
really rocks?
Niles rock loudspeakers are available in both stereo and
stereo input (SI) versions. For added flexibility, Niles SI
loudspeakers can also be wired as conventional left/right
stereo loudspeakers.
