Student’s Activity (Students will count to 3 and group themselves) BLAST FROM THE PAST ACTIVITY (Teacher will make a 3 x 3 table on the whiteboard, according to group and age bracket) Group 1 – Stick your pictures on the left side of the white board, Group 2 – middle panel and Group 3 – stick your pictures on the right panel. Follow the age bracket written and make sure you have a lot of space in between the pictures. (Students will proceed to stick their pictures on the whiteboard.) Group 3, guess whose picture is on the board of group 1. Group 2 guess the pictures of Group 3 and Group 1 to guess Group 2’s pictures. As a group, write down the names of your classmates beside their pictures. Take care not to write on the picture itself. Whisper and make talk quietly with each other. (Students will begin to discuss among themselves as they guess whose picture it is on the board. This will bring forth a lot of laughter and comments.) (After finishing) (The students sit down and participate as the answers are checked.) You may all be seated. (check together the names on the board if it is correct.) Is it hard to guess the pictures of your classmates? Is there anyone who look alike? Yes! (allow for answers) Is there anyone who looks EXACTLY the same? None. Has anyone asked, “Why am I like this? Why do I look like this?” Why does she have a nice skin and she is so slim when I am fat?” Have you asked yourself or God, “Why is he so good at sports and I always fall down?” (allow for nods and some answers and a bit of discussion) I will ask you again, “in the pictures, is there someone who looks exactly the same as another?” None. Yes, None! Why? Because God made us all different. No one is the same, and yes, even twins are not 100% the same. For today, you will learn that you are God’s special children and that you are different from your classmates and that you have your own special abilities and personality. You will also see God’s power through his creation and show ways on how to take care of the environment. C. Discussion Teacher’s Activity Student’s Activity This morning, I would like to show you a video that will amaze you. Also, remember that the creation always points to the creator, so if you feel that what you are seeing is truly amazing, what more the creator who is able to do these amazing things! Show video of “Unbelievably Beautiful Places in the World” (4 mins) Now, how did all these things come about? Open your bible to Genesis 1 and let’s talk about how God created everything. As I tell you the story, you may look it up in your bibles. (Proceed to tell the story of creation) In the beginning there is God. He is the alpha and omega, the beginning and the end. Before everything else, He is there. (Students watch the video) And God said, “Let there be light!” and there was light on the first day. God separated the light from darkness. He called light, day and the darkness, night. God made day and night. What did God made on the first day? On the second day, God separated the water above and the water below with space in between. He called the space in between sky. He created the Sky What did God created on the 2nd day? rd On the 3 day God said, “Let the water be gathered to one place and let dry ground appear.” He called the dry ground LAND and the water seas. He also let plants grow on the land. And God saw that it was “good”. What did God made on the 3rd day? How did He describe what He made? He made the land, plants and seas. He said it was good. On the 4th day God said, “Let there be light in the sky to separate day from night and let them mark the calendar and the times. And God saw that it was, good. How did God find the sun, moon and stars? God saw that it was good. On the 5th day God said, “Let the water be full of living creatures and birds that fly above the earth across the sky.” God saw that it was good. He blessed them and told them to increase in number and fill the seas and the sky. How did God see His creation on the fifth day? God saw that it was good. On the 6th day, God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kind. For livestock, animals that move on the ground and wild animals each according to its kind. God saw that it was good. How did God see His creation? God said, let us make mankind in OUR IMAGE, in our LIKENESS, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky and over the livestock, wild animals and all the creatures that move on the ground. God created mankind IN HIS OWN IMAGE, in the IMAGE OF GOD He created them, male and female He created them. God said it was good. God saw EVERYTHING He had made and it was VERY good. How did God see everything He made? God said it was VERY good. This was how everything was created, and on the 7th day, God rested. Do you think you are created by God? If you are a part of God’s creation, do you think God think you are VERY good? Yes. Yes. And God saw everything He had made and it was very good. Now, Open your bibles to Psalm 148, let us read together. (Students reads the Psalm together) Psalm 148 1 Praise the LORD.[a] Praise the LORD from the heavens; praise him in the heights above. 2 Praise him, all his angels; praise him, all his heavenly hosts. 3 Praise him, sun and moon; praise him, all you shining stars. 4 Praise him, you highest heavens and you waters above the skies. 5 Let them praise the name of the LORD, for at his command they were created, 6 and he established them forever and ever— he issued a decree that will never pass away. 7 Praise the LORD from the earth, you great sea creatures and all ocean depths, 8 lightning and hail, snow and clouds, stormy winds that do his bidding, you mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars, 10 wild animals and all cattle, small creatures and flying birds, 11 kings of the earth and all nations, you princes and all rulers on earth, 12 young men and women, old men and children. 13 Let them praise the name of the LORD, for his name alone is exalted; his splendor is above the earth and the heavens. 14 And he has raised up for his people a horn,[b] the praise of all his faithful servants, of Israel, the people close to his heart. Praise the LORD. 9 Every living thing praises the Lord for at His command, they were created. We already know how we are created and after He created everything He said that everything was very good. That VERY GOOD includes us people. God says we are very good. Now open your Bibles to Psalm 139:1-6, and v. 13-14 and read it together. (Students open their bibles to Psalm 139 and read. Psalm 139 For the director of music. Of David. A psalm. 1 You have searched me, LORD, and you know me. 2 You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. 3 You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. 4 Before a word is on my tongue you, LORD, know it completely. 5 You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me. 6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain. 13 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. In the Bible, God’s word, it says that God is the one who knit us, who put us together even while we are still inside our mother’s womb. It also says that we are fearfully and wonderfully made. What does wonderful mean? What is fearfully? Wonderful means we are unique, we are marvelous! Fearfully means we are made with heart-felt interest. We are not just made by random, but God made us with respect. (A student will answer) (A student will answer) If we ask God why He made us the way He made you, it is like you are saying His creations are not good.
