1. Computer Organization is concerned with the structure and behaviour of
a computer system as seen by the user whiles Computer Architecture is concerned with
the way hardware components are connected together to form a computer system.
2. Computer structure is the overall look of the system while Computer function is how
the computer system works in a practical environment.

A Central processing unit:
It is the main part of the computer which performs all the operations of the computer. It is
usually named by the processor.
B: Main memory.
This part of the computer is used for the storage of data.
C: I/O devices.
These are for the channels between the computer system and the external world. Their
purpose is to send and receive data from computer to another device.
D: System Interconnection.
These are lines that connect several components to enable them to perform their
specific operations or some mechanism that is used for the communication between
CPU, main memory and the I/O devices.
5. I. Control Unit: this is the part of the CPU that does all the processing.
II. ALU: this is the part of the CPU that performs all mathematical functions.
III. Registers: this is a small unit in the CPU for storing small amounts of data.
IV. CPU interconnection: this serves as a mechanism for communication between registers, ALU
and control unit.
