Objective: We will examine Chaucer’s reasons for
creating his work, The Canterbury Tales. We will also
examine the time period during which the Tales took
place.
Task: I will take notes and look at how Chaucer was a
key pivotal figure in the development of the English
Language and what caused him to create the Canterbury
Tales. I will also follow along as we together as a class
read the first few lines of the Prologue to understand the
overall wording. I will take notes on the descriptive
dialogue and how that dialogue may help me understand
the text further in preparation for analyzing my character.
