Bark is gray, smooth and exuding resin. Leathery leaves are opposite, broad, lanceolate to ovate up to 7cm long and 2cm wide. Five cm long male cones are cylindrical; female cones subglobose up to 8 cm long. Seeds are winged and oval shaped.
