SAFETY AND HEALTH TARGET

1.) JOINT SEALING AND FILLING. All workers in this activity must wear additional PPEs
such as gloves, eye protection, and mask to avoid being in direct contact with hot
bitumen and to prevent its harmful effects to our body and health. They must also be
aware of passing vehicles. Drivers should be reminded to reduce speed and make
signal to the workers when coming to site.
2.) CLEANING PAVEMENT AND V-DITCH. All workers in this activity are required to
wear additional PPE such as mask because the dust during cleaning may cause harmful
effects to the body. Those who are assigned at V-Ditch Cleaning should wear Gum
Boots and must be very careful of the slippery area to avoid stumble when working.
3.) VERTICAL DRAIN AND SODDING WORK. When working on the slope of
embankment, provide ladder to access the area. When soil is eroded during working,
backfill or reinstate it with the same material after finishing the work.
4.) GENERAL SAFETY REMINDERS. All appropriate precautions and actions should be
taken to ensure that all workplaces are safe and without risk to the safety and health
of workers.
