Exp. 4
Study the adsorption reaction between acetic acid and
Charcoal.
Theory:

1- Prepare 0.5M of acetic acid in 100ml of volumetric flask .
2- Transfer (5,10, 15, 20, 25) ml from acetic acid and complete the
volume to 50ml by D.W .
3- Take 5 conical flask and add each one 1 g from charcoal, and then
add solutions of acetic acid prepared in the previous step.
4- Shake the solutions at 30 min .
5- Filter the solutions (remove the 5 first drops) .
6- Take 10ml of each solution and add 2-3 drops of ph.ph indicator ,
and titrate with 0.2 NaOH.
