Release Notes for business-to-business add-on SP 01 SAP NetWeaver Process Orchestration, business add-on 1.0 for (New and Changed) business-to- This release notes include all new features and changes (enhancements) for the SAP NetWeaver Process Orchestration, business-to-business add-on 1.0. The business-to-business add-on consists of adapters, modules, and converters that help in managing the procurement process and in integrating the business process. After deploying the business-to-business add-on in your commercial environment, it eases the handling of business documents between the trading partners over the network. OFTP Adapter - Checking Duplicate Message (New) This new feature in OFTP adapter checks for incoming duplicate messages and ignores if it has been processed already. OFTP Adapter - Archiving Messages (Changed) Archiving feature has been enhanced to support incoming and outgoing payloads at different stages. You can archive the payloads at the following different stages in the respective communication channels: Sender channel: Incoming wired payload, decrypted payload, and decoded payload. Receiver channel: Outgoing wired payload, encrypted payload, and encoded payload. At the sender side, the Archive Error Messages option has been introduced. It archives the original payload and corresponding error message in case of any execution error until sender channel module processing. OFTP Adapter - Acknowledgment Handling (New) The OFTP is a session based protocol and can receive acknowledgements (ERPs) on the session initiated either by the trading partners (consumed by a sender communication channel) or by a receiver communication channel for the transmitted messages. The OFTP adapter has been enhanced: To create a new XI message for the received acknowledgment in the receiver channel and correlate it to the original transmitted message. The correlated message can be monitored via the enhanced local message monitor. To create a new sender communication channel (Transport Protocol: OFTP ERP) dedicated for acknowledgments to process the newly created XI messages. To record the presence and type of acknowledgement, which can be viewed by the enhanced local message monitor. To sender channel has been enhanced to send back ERP immediately or based on receipt of internal acknowledgments. The local message monitor has been enhanced in specific SAP NW PI releases. OFTP Adapter - TCP SSL Port and ISDN Router Parameters (Changed) The ISDN router username and password fields are made optional. The default value 6619 for the TCP SSL port has been added. AS2 Adapter - Acknowledgment Handling (New) The AS2 adapter can receive acknowledgements (MDNs) from the trading partners. The AS2 adapter has been enhanced to: To create a new XI message for the incoming asynchronous MDNs and correlate it to the original transmitted message. The correlated messages can be monitored via enhanced local message monitor. To create a new sender communication channel (Transport Protocol: AS2 MDN) dedicated for acknowledgments to process the newly created XI messages. To record the presence and type of acknowledgement, which can be viewed by enhanced local message monitor. To sender channel has been enhanced to send back MDN immediately or based on receipt of internal acknowledgments. The local message monitor has been enhanced in specific SAP NW PI releases. AS2 Adapter - SHA-2 Algorithms Support (New) The AS2 adapter has been enhanced to support SHA-2 algorithms for signing and verifying the messages and MDNs as per the configured communication channels. AS2 Adapter- Mandatory Authentication Parameters (Changed) The authentication (username and password) parameters are made mandatory for all the incoming connections to AS2 sender channel. The X400 adapter has been enhanced: To create a new XI message for the delivery reports and correlate it to the original transmitted message. To create a new sender communication channel (Message Protocol: X.400 Delivery Report XML) dedicated for acknowledgments to process the delivery reports as new XI messages. EDI Separator Adapter - Receiving Multiple EDI Formats (Changed) The EDI separator receiver channel has been enhanced to receive documents in different EDI formats (EDIFACT, ANSI ASC X12, Odette, and VDA) simultaneously on a single receiver communication channel. Introducing Generic Module (New) A new adapter module has been introduced, which automatically detects direction (inbound or outbound), EDI formats and process pre-defined EDI formats (except Plain) supported by B2B add-on. 3 Release Notes for business-to-business add-on SP 01 This helps to configure single communication channel to process different EDI formats and same module can be used for inbound and outbound scenarios. EDI Converter Modules Parameters (New) New module parameters (encoding, copy, indent and so on) have been introduced in all EDI converter modules. Archiver Module - Supporting Multiple Files for Archiving (Changed) The Archiver module is enhanced to support archiving of multiple files at different stages. Enhanced Local Monitoring for B2B Messages (Changed) The existing local message monitor in SAP NW PI has been enhanced for B2B environment: New columns have been introduced to monitor B2B technical and functional acknowledgments. New tab has been introduced to view the status of outgoing and incoming B2B acknowledgments. New search button has been introduced to find related messages. This options can be used to search all the correlated and referenced messages that are mentioned below: o o All the technical acknowledgments (MDN, ERP, and Delivery Reports), which has been processed as new XI message. B2B Integration Cockpit (New) The B2B integration cockpit has been introduced as a new central console that contains relevant links to all B2B components. EDI Content Manager - New UI for Customizing EDI Messages (Changed) The “EDI-XML Content Manager” is now known as “EDI Content Manager.” New user friendly and intuitive UI (Message editor, segment editor, component editor, versioning control and so on) has been introduced for maintaining the EDI content shipped by SAP. Performance Optimizations (Changed) Cache optimization has been done for select EDI converters to boost the performance for EDI to XML conversion and the other way round.
