Role: You are part of a team in an advertising firm that is assigned to create a disaster readiness campaign through an infomercial to be uploaded on Facebook and YouTube. Audience: Your audience are the netizens who are mostly unaware of the effects of the different natural hazards in their community due to their busy lifestyle. Situation: You made your way to an advertising firm as a junior marketing assistant, and your first assignment with your teammates is to make an awareness campaign. The said campaign is spearheaded by the National Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Council (NDRRMC) which made a contract with your firm. Together with your teammates, you are tasked to come up with an idea as well as an output of the awareness campaign to the different hazards particularly earthquake, fire, and typhoon in your community. The government agency wanted it to be disseminated on Facebook and YouTube because your target audience are the netizens. Product/Performance: Produce an infomercial about the different hazards in your community as an awareness campaign of NDRRMC. Standards for Success: The infomercial awareness campaign should have the following: • The length of the infomercial should have an appropriate length (minimum of 10 mins) that will fully cover the topic which any audience will be able to understand and be engaged. • You are to work in groups with a number of 8 to 10 members. • Must be uploaded on Facebook and YouTube. • Include members contribution to your end credits. • All members should be present on the video. • A type-written OUTLINE of your infomercial project. • The rubric should be attached together with the outline of the infomercial.
