Further, electronics industry is the largest and fastest growing manufacturing industry in the world. Global electronics production is estimated USD 2 trillion in 2017. Compound annual growth rate of electronics hardware production in India is 26.7 % in 2017– 18. The demand in Indian market itself is expected to reach USD 400 Billion by 2025 (Source: National Policy on Electronics 2019). To transform India into a global hub for electronic system design and manufacturing (ESDM), government has launched the flagship programs like Digital India and Make in India which will lead to large number of job opportunities. Government of India has also envisioned a Trillion Dollar Digital Economy. It is projected that the digital economy will generate 30 million employments by 2025, which is double than the current scenario. Further, Electronics and Telecom sectors would be the top two contributors with 8.9 million and 8.8 million jobs respectively.
