1. France, Britain, and the USA practiced Democracy. Yet, all three
nations joined an alliance with the Communist USSR in WW II. Why
did this happen? Why did these nations decide to unite during the
conflict?
During WWll those three nations joined as an alliance
because of Hitler and Germany’s power. They needed to join
as an alliance to defeat Germany. And its army because
they couldn’t defeat such a big nation alone.
2. What was the Berlin Airlift? How did it impact the USA’s
reputation around the
word?
The Berlin Airlift was a day in 1948, U.S. and British pilots began
delivering food and supplies by airplane to Berlin after the city is
isolated by a Soviet Union blockade. When World War II ended in
1945, defeated Germany was divided into Soviet, American, British
and French zones of occupation. It helped the tensions between
America and other countries
3. What was the policy of
Containment?
When The U.S did everything they could to stop communism
from spreading beyond the Soviet Union. When the soviet
tried to spread communism. Beyond just their nation to places
such as Eastern Europe, China, Korea, and Vietnam.
4. Why did NATO and the Warsaw Pact each form? What was the goal
of each organization? The North Atlantic Treaty
Organization was created in 1949 by the United States, Canada, and
several Western European nations to provide collective security
against the Soviet Union. The Soviet Union formed this alliance as a counterbalance
to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO)
