1. What did you learn about yourself this week?
This week was my last week at Dresden Highschool and I have learned so much
through this field experience. I have learned the values of always being over
prepared and flexible enough to change your plans at the last minute. I have also
learned the importance of friends in the work place and how those connections can
make the longest and toughest days enjoyable.
2. What could you have done differently?
One thing I wish I would have done more of this week and during this placement
would be to implement more Quantum Learning strategies. However, due to testing
and the lack of time for instruction resulted in not enough time to have students
practice using these methods. I hope to continue use of these strategies next week
when I can and in the future.
3. What are your struggles or concerns?
4. What have been positive highlights of this week?
One positive highlight of this week was my study activity with my English III class.
During this activity students were in groups and had the task of forming their own
questions on chapters 4-6 and answering those questions. After this, the groups then
switched their questions with another group and answered the questions they
constructed. This activity went over well with the students especially when I allowed
each group to pick one really good question and it would be used as a bonus
question on the chapter 4-6 test.
