LESSON PLAN
DATE: 25TH FEBRUARY 2019
TIME: 12.40PM-1.20PM
LEVEL
: INTERMEDIATE
THEME
: INTERACTION BETWEEN CHEMICAL
OBJECTIVE : To analyze redox reaction.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
The end of this lesson, students should be able to:
1. State what oxidation and reduction is.
2. Explain what is redox reaction
3. State what is oxidizing agent and reducing agent is.
MORAL VALUES:
1. Students being cooperative among them.
2. Student being preserving to understand about this topic.
3. Students pursuing excellent in this topic.
EDUCATIONAL EMPHASIS:
Active listening, student-centered learning, communicating, classifying
INSTRUCTIONAL AIDS:
White board, markers pen, card board, colour papers, food (London roll)
PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE:
In form 4 syllabus, students already learned about cation and anion equations in electrolysis of
molten compound. These equations are already explained about redox reactions. However,
during that time, students cannot recognize redox reaction yet.

FOLLOW UP ACTIVITIES:
1. Teacher will give several chemical equations to students. Students need to identify
oxidation, reduction, oxidizing agent and reducing agent from the equation.
2. Teacher asks them to study about oxidation number and types of redox reaction.
