This table shows my measurements : Number of batteries Number of Iron Pins attracted 1 Battery 1.2 voltages 3 Iron Pins 2 Batteries 1.2 voltages 5 Iron Pins 3 Batteries 1.2 voltages 6 Iron Pins 4 7 Batteries 1.2 voltages This graph shows my final results : 2 out of 4 Iron Pins The data collected are accurate because when the number of batteries increases the magnetic field increases which takes us to the increase in number of attracted iron pins . The data collected show that the more batteries added the more iron pins attracted and it also suggests adding batteries to the electromagnet to make the magnetic field range wider so it is able to pull more stuff and the more batteries added the heavier magnetic materials will be pulled Evaluating Hypothesis : the prediction is that that the more batteries added to the electromagnet the wider magnetic field range is going to be and the wider the magnetic field is going to be the more iron pins are going to be attracted and also the heavier magnetic materials are going to be attracted and stick to the electromagnet and the data collected supports the prediction made it this happened because this topic was read read about it and studied before so there was a previous background about it Evaluating Method The method followed allowed me to answer the research question and in thinking some of the strength point in the method followed are like getting assist of the knowledge of the teacher and because nothing have no weakness points the method followed had some weakness points like there was a problem of the way to attach the batteries to the wires without getting shocked from the electricity because the four batteries are about 4.8 volts so it could be harmful but a help from an adult and an expert helped a lot if I wanted to test the same problem the same method would be used because it helped a lot and it covered everything I need to make this report 3 out of 4 Improvements Because the method was not perfect I would improve some things to make it perfect like I would do this while I am using my safety precaution tools which are white coat , gloves to not get shocked again by the electricity , googles to protect my eyes if any thing bad happened while doing the experiment and of course I will do it in a science lab while an expert is watching me so I do not make anything wrong in the experiment I would make these improvement because when I or anybody else use this method he or she does not get in the same problems and mistakes I have been before and of course I would like to get more information about electromagnets and dynamos because I am a knowledgeable IB student I will not let any problem stand in my face and stop me doing something , no I will search and find a solution for this problem 4 out of 4
