The move, which would not need congressional approval, is part of White House senior adviser Stephen Miller's plan to limit the number of migrants who obtain legal status in the U.S. each year. The author establishes ethos by citing various statistics, and administration is trying to do, and then continues to break down the quotes, from very credible sources, and then explaining how they help improve the main idea throughout the article. This structure works very well for the argument, and these statistics perfectly back up what the author is saying. The fact purpose of the piece, because, this article is meant to inform people of that his statistics, and his numbers, are from very credible sources boosts both the what is going on in our country, with immigration and the government, actual argument’s ethos, and the author’s logos. The author uses logos when he and by structuring the article like this the author sufficiently covered shows how these statistics back up his argument and clearly shows how these facts the topic. Essentially, each paragraph of the article dealt with a prove what he is saying to be true. I choose this piece because it was the required topic, immigration, and I thought this article provided some very interesting information on the topic. I enjoyed this piece because I felt that it truly wanted to explain what was going on in our country, and I felt like the author was truly trying to inform people about how our immigration laws and policies are changing. Also, this is a topic that is interesting to me because it is something that I hear about almost everyday, people are always talking about the government and what is going on in our country, so it was interesting for me to read about this topic. The author makes a valuable contribution to the topic because they provide very current information about the topic, and add inform people of this new information.
