Over the past eight weeks of the semester, I have been working on adjusting to the University
atmosphere. The three main expectations I had were that it would be a hard adjustment from high
school, I would be able to make friends easily, and that going to Seton Hall would make me happier.
Adjusting to college, at first, really scared me. I was coming from an all-girls Catholic high school
in Northeast Philadelphia. I believed the transition back to a co-ed school would not be challenging, but
just different. I had such an amazing experience in high school, and I know I'll never forget the people i
met and the memories I made. On the other hand, I did not want to hold on to high school too much
when I came to college. I really wanted to branch out and try new things I never saw myself doing
before. The adjustment has been going very well so far, although I do occasionally miss being in high
school.
The next expectation was that I was going to be able to make friends easily. Ultimately, my
