Common Characteristics of High Scores
May have poor concentration/attention or difficulty
keeping his/her mind on work, make careless
mistakes, be easily distracted, give up easily or be
easily bored, avoid schoolwork, and may have
difficulty starting or finishing tasks.
High activity levels. May be restless and/or
impulsive. May have difficulty being quiet. May
interrupt others or talk too much. May be easily
excited.
Academic Struggles. May have difficulty learning
and/or remembering concepts. May need extra
explanations or help. May have executive
functioning deficits.

The main use of the Conners 3 rd Edition (Conners 3) is for the assessment of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity
Disorder (ADHD). When used appropriately the Conners 3 can be useful in the process of defining a problem,
eliciting further information, planning treatment and intervention, and measuring treatment outcome. The Conners 3
is not meant to be the sole criteria for decision making, assessment, or diagnosis. Results for the Conners 3 are
reported as T-scores. T-score have an average of 50 and a standard deviation of 10.
Interpretive Guidelines for T-Scores are as follows:
70+
