Tableau iPad Connectivity Resolution Steps Step 1: Verify Tableau Server URL Verify the Tableau server URL a. Open the Tableau App b. Tap Sign In c. In “Choose a Server” screen, tap on Clear List d. Next enter this Server Name: “cdwtableau.na.novartis.net” e. Once the server name is entered, tap Connect. f. If you receive a message “Cannot connect to server”, proceed to Step 2. Step 2: Install MobileIron Tunnel Step 3: Validate Tunnel Settings If the MobileIron Tunnel is already installed, move to Step 3. If it is not currently installed, Download the MobileIron Tunnel from the Novartis AppStore. This app MUST ALWAYS be installed from the Novartis App Store. a. Launch the Tunnel App a. Go to the Novartis app store d. Tap on VPN b. Tap “Search” and enter “Tunnel” d. Enable Connect on Demand c. Tap MobileIron Tunnel to install f. Note: If you receive an error message when trying to install MobileIron Tunnel that says This app has already been installed, See page 2 for further instructions. d. e. f. g. Tap Request Tap Install Enter Apple ID credentials, if asked The App will be downloaded to your device Note: If you uninstall the Tunnel application, the tunnelenabled applications and websites won’t be able to connect automatically to the Novartis Network and you will need to switch ON the iVPN manually on-demand. b. Swipe the VPN Slider to the right b. Tap Settings Validate Tableau is listed Note: If you had previously installed Tableau and do not see it listed here and are having trouble connecting to the Production server, delete the Tableau app and reinstall from the Novartis App store. Open the MobileIron app. 2. Tap Settings 3. Tap Check for updates 4. Tap Force Device Check-In To Delete the Tableau app: 1. Press and hold on the Tableau app until the icons start to shake. 2.
