Shooting an Elephant: Scavenger Hunt
Locate the following items in Orwell's narrative essay, "Shooting an Elephant." In
order to receive full credit, you must find at least twelve items in total and at least one
item from each category.
• Underline a sentence with eight words or less
• Put a *star* next to simile or metaphor.
• Bold an example of irony or humor.
• Use italics for a sentence with a semicolon.
• Put a 😊 or 😟 face next to an example of pathos.
