Screening and Selection Services (SaSS) New User Experience, Global, and Other Names FAQs About this Document This document provides answers to questions related to ADP Screening and Selection Services (SaSS) application’s new user experience being introduced in December 2014. In addition, this document includes information about the Global and Other Names features which will be available to clients who have upgraded to the new user experience. General Questions 1.1 Question: What is the ADP SaSS new user experience? Answer: The ADP SaSS application is being updated to provide a more modern look and feel for our clients. This “new user experience” will allow our clients to experience the Screening and Selection application an exciting new way, while still providing our clients with the same screening services they have used in the classic system. With the move to the new user experience, clients will also have the opportunity to add new Global and Other Names features. More detail is provided below to explain what these features offer. 1.2 Question: When will my company be upgraded to the new user experience? Answer: Clients are being upgraded in waves. You will receive notification of the date in advance of the upgrade. Your ADP SaSS application will be automatically upgraded on that date. 1.3 Question: When and how can I add the Other Names and Global as features for my company? Answer: Global and Other Names will become available once your company is upgraded to the new user experience. You must alert the ADP SaSS Solutions Center if you want these features activated, as they will not be automatically enabled. We will not be taking requests to add on these features in advance of your ADP SaSS application being upgraded, so you should alert the SaSS Solutions Center of your interest after you have been upgraded to the new user experience. Browser & Technical Questions for New User Experience 2.1 Question: What browsers are supported? Answer: End users will need to be on a modern browser that supports HTML5. See below for the list of supported browsers. Users will receive an error letting them know they do not have the correct browser. Browser List: IE9 and above Firefox (latest version) Chrome (latest version) 2.2 Question: What about Safari as a browser? Answer: We will not certify Safari, but we anticipate it will work correctly. This means that clients using a modern version of Safari (version 7 or 8) should be able to use the new user experience without any difficulty. However, if clients call for support, we will likely recommend using a supported browser as part of the troubleshooting process. 2.3 Question: Can users access SaSS’s new user experience from a mobile smartphone or tablet? Answer: The new user experience can be accessed through any mobile browser and we will be refining the smartphone and tablet experience over time. Training Questions for New User Experience 3.1 Question: How can we prepare for SaSS’s new user experience? Answer: The SaSS new user experience is very intuitive and follows the same workflow as the classic system. ADP has prepared sample screen shots of the planned screens, along with client communication updates. General Questions for Global 4.1 Question: How many countries are covered by SASS’ global offering? Answer: We are pleased to announce that we will offer some level of screening in over 170 countries. Not all products will Screening and Selection Services (SaSS) New User Experience, Global, and Other Names FAQs be available in all countries, and we expect this list to evolve over time. We will publish a more complete list closer to launch. 4.2 Question: What must a client do to gain access to SASS’ global offering? Answer: There are two requirements to gain access: Clients needing access to global products must be upgraded to the new user experience. Clients needing access to global products must sign an international contract addendum. 4.3 Question: How will global products be ordered? Answer: Where possible, the ordering process will automatically bring in global products using our Smart Order technology. For instance, the client will not have to specify domestic criminal court records searches and global court record searches. Certain products are only applicable to global searches and therefore will appear as a separate ala carte menu item. 4.4 Question: How will global results be received? Answer: Results will be transmitted to SASS in .pdf format, which will be appended to the end of the SASS report for that candidate, in a manner similar to drug test results today. General Questions for Other Names 5.1 Question: What must a client do to gain access to the enhanced workflows for candidates with other names? Answer: Clients needing access to this new workflow must be upgraded to the new user experience. Once upgraded, clients needing access to this new workflow must contact SASS to set up an “other names package.” 5.1 Question: How will searches on other names get ordered? Answer: On step 4/checkout, the client will see other names recommended beneath their primary order. These names will be comprised of: o Any additional names entered on the candidate input page o Additional names suggested by ADP based on a search of credit headers and other proprietary sources. If a client selects any of these additional names, the client’s “other names package” will be ordered, as an entirely separate order, on those additional names. All other candidate data will be imported from the original order. 5.2 Question: How will searches on other names be reported? Answer: These will appear as separate orders within Select, with separate order numbers and reports. Later in 2015, we plan to release functionality combining this data into one report.
